Alhambra Guiding Only, for Visitors Who Already Have a Ticket
This booking buys the guide, not the entry. It is for people who already hold an Alhambra ticket covering the Gardens, the Generalife and the Alcazaba, and who would rather walk the site with somebody who knows it than with an app. The access ticket is not included, and neither is the Nasrid Palaces. Worth reading twice before booking, because the Alhambra will not let anyone in without their own ticket. What is included is three hours with an official city guide, and a route that covers the Gardens, the Generalife, the Alcazaba, the Partal Palace and the Palace of Charles V properly rather than in passing. You pick the start time and the operator builds the group around it. The advantage of this arrangement is that the ticket you already own does not go to waste on wandering. Three hours is enough to get through the whole open complex with the architecture explained as you go, from the defensive engineering of the Alcazaba to the planting of the Generalife. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start.

The reception point, the Alhambra Meeting Point, is a few metres from the ticket office for the Alhambra and the Generalife.
Alcazaba
The military quarter. How the palace city was defended, explained on the walls themselves, then up the Torre de la Vela for Granada, the Albaicín and the Vega, with the story of what the tower did before 1492 and what happened to it after. The Jardín de los Adarves and the Puerta de las Armas are on the route.

The public area of the Alhambra is covered
The open part of the walled city, with its layout explained and the Christian changes identified: the church of Santa María de la Alhambra and the convent of San Francisco, now a state parador, the first burial place of Queen Isabella. Then the dry ground with the ruins of the Palacio de los Abencerrajes, one of the great families of the Nasrid court, and the Medina, where the workshops and kilns that produced the decoration are still traceable.
Generalife
Up the Cerro del Sol past the Nasrid orchards and the Christian maze gardens, with the planting explained and the fruit those orchards grew. The Generalife Palace and how it connected physically to the Alhambra. The Patio de Polo, the Patio de la Guardia, the Patio de la Acequia with the sultan's summer house, the Patio de la Sultana with its cypress, and the upper gardens. Out by the Paseo de las Adelfas.
