The Doria Pamphilj gallery and museum, on the Corso, with a local guide and nobody else in the group. Two and a half hours. This is a private family collection still in the family palace, which is why the pictures hang in rooms rather than in galleries. The Baroque holdings are the core of it, and the names on them are Bernini, Brueghel, Caravaggio and Raphael, along with sculpture and tapestry. The route includes the chapel, and the four rooms known by their colours.

Villa Doria Pamphilj
The guide meets you at the Doria Pamphilj palace, and the private tour runs two and a half hours through the gallery and the museum. The rooms come with frescoes, tapestries, old furniture and the paintings themselves, and the guide works through the highlights of the collection: Raphael, Velázquez, Brueghel, Caravaggio, Carracci, Bernini. The chapel has a painted ceiling. Then the Blue, Red, Yellow and Green Rooms, with their bird's-eye view paintings and Gobelins tapestries. The tour ends where it started, inside the palace.
