An entry ticket rather than a tour, with the Nasrid Palaces as an option to add rather than a fixed part of the day. That suits people who want the run of the site without a group, and people who could not get a palace slot but still want the rest of it. The Generalife gardens take up as much of a day as you let them. Fountains running, paved paths, planting on terraces, and open ground to sit on, with the rest of the complex and the city of Granada laid out below. From there the ticket covers the Palace of Charles V, the Renaissance building the conquerors put down in the middle of the Moorish city, and the Bath of the Mosque, which almost nobody looks for. The baths belonged to the Alhambra's own mosque, and they are the part of the site that shows what daily life here was, rather than what the court wanted visitors to see. Without a guide the pace is yours, and the site is large enough to justify most of a day. Tickets are non-refundable once confirmed.
