Three Private Hours That End at the Christmas Market, Not the Exit

Three hours at the Belvedere with a private guide in December, arranged so the day finishes at the Christmas market rather than at the museum exit. The walk starts at the Lower Belvedere on Rennweg and goes up through the Baroque park, one of the more important French-style historical gardens in Europe. Then into the Upper Belvedere, a UNESCO site, with tickets included, for the largest collection of Klimt paintings in the world and The Kiss among them. The market in the palace grounds closes the tour, and the guide walks it with you first: what is worth eating, what is worth drinking, and which of the Viennese Christmas habits are older than they look. After that the tour ends there and you stay on as long as you want, which is the sensible way round.
