Pena and Regaleira in a Group of Eight, with the Guide Inside Both Palaces
Eight people, and a guide who walks in with the group at both monuments rather than handing over the tickets at the gate and waiting outside. The explanations happen where the rooms are. The Quinta da Regaleira and the Pena Palace are both on the itinerary, which is less common than it sounds: most Sintra days pick one and drive past the other. After Sintra the route runs to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, then follows the coast to Cascais for the town and the harbour. Estoril closes the day. The casino there is the biggest in Europe, the town has a Formula 1 circuit, and the beaches are white sand.
