The Last Medici: Anna Maria Luisa, and Four Museums Under One Roof
The last Medici residence in Florence, with a private local guide. The museum is organised around the daily life of the Medici grand dukes, from Cosimo I to the last of the line in the early 1700s: Ferdinando, Gian Gastone, and finally Anna Maria Luisa, the Electress Palatine, to whom the museum is dedicated and who is the reason any of this is still in Florence. Beyond the civic and political business the rooms were built for, the palace holds a private collection of paintings, ancient sculpture, furniture and Florentine mosaic, along with the frescoes on the ceilings and walls. There are four museums inside it: the Palatine Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art, the Treasure of the Grand Dukes and the Museum of Fashion and Costume. At the end of the guided visit, the guide hands over the entry to the Boboli Gardens.

Palazzo Pitti
The last Medici residence in Florence, with a private local guide. The route follows the daily life of the grand dukes, from Cosimo I to the last of them in the early 1700s: Ferdinando, Gian Gastone, and Anna Maria Luisa, the Palatine Electress, to whom the museum is dedicated. Then their successors, the Habsburg-Lorraine, down to the first King of Italy. Besides the civic and political function of the rooms, the palace holds a private collection of paintings, ancient statues, furniture and Florentine mosaic, and the frescoes across the ceilings and walls. Inside the palace: The Palatine Gallery. The Gallery of Modern Art. The Treasure of the Grand Dukes. The Museum of Fashion and Costume. At the end of the guided visit the guide gives you the entry to the Boboli Gardens.
Giardino di Boboli
The garden sits behind the Palazzo Pitti and works as an open-air museum in its own right: ancient and Renaissance statues, grottoes and large fountains. It belongs to the palace, and you can walk it at your own pace.
