Private Alhambra Room by Room: Mexuar to the Court of the Lions
Three hours at the Alhambra with a guide working for one group, and the queue skipped at the gate of a UNESCO World Heritage site. What a private booking buys here is the room-by-room reading of the Nasrid Palaces. Most tours name three or four spaces and move on. This one goes through the sequence as it was built to be walked, from the Mexuar where petitions were heard, through the courtyards, to the Court of the Lions, and each room has a different job and a different amount of decoration to prove it. One practical point that catches people out: the original passport must be shown to enter the Alhambra complex, and it has to be valid. A copy or a photograph is not accepted, and without it the ticket is worthless. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included. A private transfer can be arranged on request. Several meeting points around Granada are available, so the group can start from the address that suits it.
