Private Versailles Half-Day, and the Treaties Signed in the Gallery

The Hall of Mirrors is usually sold as a photograph. It is also a room where history was signed: the treaty that ended the First World War was concluded there on 28 June 1919, and the settlements of 1783 that closed the American War of Independence were signed at Versailles. This is a private half day with a licensed driver-guide who works in several languages, and hotel pickup. The palace runs to 67,000 square metres and 700 rooms, which makes it the largest castle anywhere, and the guided part covers the state apartments of Louis XIV and the Hall of Mirrors. Skip-the-line tickets to the palace and the gardens are included, so the entrance is not a queue. Afterwards there is free time in the gardens à la française, laid out by André Le Nôtre, with 55 pools and fountains and the statuary among them, before the return to Paris.
