Whiskey at Midleton Instead of Kinsale, and No Admissions in the Price
A private day around Cork that swaps the usual seaside stop for a distillery: Blarney Castle, Jameson at Midleton, and the harbour town of Cobh. The vehicle takes a maximum of seven guests, and the chauffeur guide is local, a member of the Independent Tour Guide Association of Ireland, so what happens between the stops counts as part of the day. The pace is the argument for booking privately: an hour and a half to two hours at Blarney rather than the twenty minutes a coach allows, and as long as you want at the distillery. The practical point: admission to Blarney is not included, and neither are the Jameson tickets or tastings. Those are bought on the day, which keeps the tour price down and leaves the choice of experience to you.

Collection from your Cork city hotel or from the cruise terminal at Cobh, and the private day begins.
Blarney Castle & Gardens
The day starts at Blarney Castle: the medieval keep, the stone at the top if you want it, and the gardens and grounds around them. Suggested time: 1.5 to 2 hours. Admission is not included.
Costo extra
Blarney Woollen Mills
A short stop at Blarney Woollen Mills, for Irish gifts or a coffee, before the road east.
Midleton Distillery Experience
On to Midleton, home of Jameson Irish whiskey. The distillery covers the history of Irish whiskey and there is a tasting for those who want one. Even without the whiskey, the place is a large part of what Cork was built on. Jameson tickets and tastings are not included.
Costo extra
Cobh
Cobh, the harbour town: the coloured waterfront, the cathedral above it, and the maritime history that goes with a deepwater port. It was the last port of call of the Titanic. Time here for the town, the harbour views, and whatever the guide recommends.
