Seville

Both of Seville's UNESCO monuments in one guided walk, with the entrance queues skipped and a headset each so the guide is audible in rooms full of other groups. The Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, built on the footprint of the mosque it replaced, and it holds the tomb of Christopher Columbus and the largest altarpiece in Christendom. The visit takes in the Patio de los Naranjos, which is the mosque's old ablutions courtyard, and the Giralda, the bell tower that stands close to 100 metres and was a minaret first. The climb up the Giralda is included but not guided: it is a long ramp rather than stairs, and it is yours to take at your own speed. The Royal Alcázar follows. It is one of the oldest palaces in Europe still in use, and the Spanish royal family still stays here when they are in Seville. The architecture runs from Moorish to Christian in the same building, which is what makes it strange and worth a guide. Parts of Game of Thrones were filmed in its gardens. The tour ends in those gardens, and you can stay in them afterwards for as long as you like.
