The day starts in Porto, where you meet the local guide, and the drive out to Guimarães, the city where Portugal began. The journey crosses northern Portugal, and the guide covers the history and the traditions of the region on the way.
Guimaraes Castle
One of the emblematic medieval buildings of Portugal. Guimarães Castle was built in the 10th century and is tied directly to the origins of the country and the early history of the kingdom.
