Medieval Lisbon for Families, with Games Between the Cathedral and the Castle
Medieval Alfama and the São Jorge Castle, with skip-the-line tickets, on a private walk built around keeping children interested. The guide handles the history and the culture of the quarter, but does it with activities and questions rather than a lecture, so nobody in the group switches off halfway up the hill. The route goes through the narrow streets, the painted buildings and the squares where street musicians play fado. Then inside the castle, one of the symbols of the city, with the stories and the odd anecdotes that go with it. There are games and trivia along the way, at the stops that matter: the José Saramago Foundation, the Church of Santo António and Lisbon Cathedral.
