Figaro, Die Zauberflöte and Don Giovanni, Played Here Every Day

A concert by the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra in the Palace Orangery, the room where Mozart performed in 1786. The programme is Mozart and Strauss, with singers as well as the orchestra. On the Mozart side: overtures, arias and duets from the operas, Le nozze di Figaro, Die Zauberflöte and Don Giovanni among them. On the Strauss side and around it, the operetta arias, the waltzes and the polkas that Vienna is sold on. These concerts run daily and have done since the series began, which makes the orchestra part of the ordinary musical life of the city rather than an event to be caught on one particular night. The booking can be cancelled free of charge up to the start of the time slot.
