The Hour That Never Goes Inside: Gardens, Angel Fountain, Gloriette
A private tour of the Schönbrunn gardens with a licensed guide, in two lengths, and the shorter one is the reason to look at this rather than the usual palace ticket. One hour, gardens and Gloriette hill: the Schlosspark, the Angel Fountain, the climb to the Gloriette, and the palace seen from the outside only. For anyone who has already been inside, or who would rather spend the time in the park than in a queue of rooms, this is the version that exists. Two hours, gardens and palace: the same walk through the park, then in through the door with skip-the-line tickets for 22 rooms, the private apartments of Franz Joseph and Elisabeth among them, with their Rococo decoration and chandeliers. Either way the group is private, so the pace is yours, and the guide covers how the gardens themselves were built up over the centuries by the Habsburgs rather than treating them as the space between the car park and the entrance. The guide meets you in front of the Museum Shop.

The Schlosspark, the grounds around the palace, walked with a licensed guide. The Angel Fountain, Baroque and worth stopping at, and the Gloriette on its hill, with the palace and the whole garden laid out below. The guide covers how the gardens were built up over the centuries under the Habsburgs. This is the version for anyone who wants the park without going inside the palace.
Schonbrunn Palace
The two-hour version keeps the same walk through the gardens, the Gloriette and the Angel Fountain, and then goes in. Skip-the-line tickets take the group past the queue and into the imperial rooms, including the private apartments of Franz Joseph and Elisabeth, with their Rococo decoration and their chandeliers. Being private, the pace and the emphasis are set by what you ask about rather than by a fixed script.
