Beijing

Half a day covering the giant pandas at the Beijing Panda House and the Summer Palace, the largest royal garden in the world, with a boat ride on Kunming Lake when the season allows it. The early start is the reason it works: get to the pandas while they are eating and you see animals doing something, which is not guaranteed later in the day.
