Tower of London Opening Ceremony and Tower Bridge Glass Floor
Three hours, two monuments, and the second one is what nothing else here includes: entry inside Tower Bridge. The morning starts with early access to the Tower of London, ahead of the general public, which puts you among the first into the Jewel House. The Crown Jewels have been kept in the Tower for 600 years, and at the centre of the collection is the Coronation Regalia, used to crown the sovereigns of England since 1661. The rest of the fortress follows: the old execution site, the Ravens Den, and the 11th-century White Tower with the Royal Armouries inside it. That collection includes the Line of Kings, running for 350 years, and the royal armours of Henry VIII, Charles I and James II. Then a guided walk along the Thames to Tower Bridge, built in the 19th century, and inside it. The high-level walkways give the views, and the Glass Floor Walkway puts the traffic and the river directly under your feet. The tour ends at the bridge, which leaves you free to see the rest of it, the Victorian Engine Rooms included. Meet 15 minutes before departure at Tower Hill Tube Station: take the main exit and find your guide outside, between the Citizen M Hotel and Trinity Square Gardens, next to the Tower Hill Tram refreshment stand.
