An entry ticket with no group attached to it. The commentary comes as an app you download to your own phone before you go in, so there is nobody to keep up with and nothing to wait for. That suits the Alcázar better than it suits most monuments. The palace is a set of enclosed courtyards, each one designed to be stood in, and the difference between a good visit and a rushed one is whether you can stop in the Patio de las Doncellas for ten minutes when the light moves.
