Alcázar of Seville in Ninety Minutes, Nine Guests Instead of Thirty

The Andalusian authorities allow thirty adults per guided group inside the Alcázar. This operator takes nine. That is the whole proposition, and it is a real one. At thirty, a guide talks over the group and the group walks in single file through rooms that were built for a court, not a crowd. At nine, everyone hears everything, questions get asked, and the courtyards can be stood in rather than crossed. Ninety minutes, with a certified local guide. The Alcázar is the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe, and it went on the UNESCO list in 1987.
