Alcázar Small Group Ending at the Baths of María de Padilla
Ten people at most, which is what makes this a conversation rather than a broadcast. Questions get asked and answered, and the group can stand still in a room long enough to look at it. The route is more complete than the standard circuit. It takes in the Justice Hall and the Palace of Plaster, then the House of Trade and the Admiral's Room, where the voyages to the Americas were administered from and where Seville's monopoly on that traffic was run. Then the Mudéjar Palace, built by Peter I in the 1300s, where Moorish craft and a Christian court produced a building that every subsequent king wanted to add to. Then the Gothic Palace, the first Christian structure on the site. The guided part finishes underground, at the Baths of María de Padilla: a vaulted rainwater cistern under the Gothic Palace, still full of water, and the quietest room in the Alcázar. After that the gardens are yours for as long as you want them. Two conditions. The tour runs in English only. And everyone must bring the original ID or passport used to make the booking, because it is checked at the door.

C. Joaquín Romero Murube, Sevilla
The large statue in the Plaza del Triunfo, between the Alcázar and the Cathedral. The host wears a white lanyard and carries a marked bag. Check WhatsApp, text and email: instructions are sent there. Latecomers cannot join.
Real Alcazar de Sevilla
A deeper visit to the Alcázar than the standard one, in a reduced group. The group meets in the monumental centre of Seville. After the introductions, everyone goes in together. Inside, the guide covers the Justice Room and the Palace of Plaster. Then the House of Trade and the Admiral's Room, where the importance of Seville and of the Alcázar during the discovery and conquest of the Americas becomes clear. Next the Mudéjar Palace, built by Peter I in the 1300s. Moorish styles and a Christian court in the same building, which is why every king afterwards wanted to leave his own mark on it. The last building is the Gothic Palace, the first Christian construction in the Alcázar. Then out into the gardens, where the two-hour guided tour ends at the Baths of María de Padilla. After that the gardens are yours for as long as you want.

The tour finishes inside the Alcázar, and you can stay in until closing time. There is no re-entry.
