A fully guided day themed on the two stories that brought most people here: Dracula and Wednesday. It starts at Bran Castle, where the guide works through the legends that turned a border fortress into one of the most visited places in Romania. Then Cantacuzino, at Bușteni, where the television series Wednesday was filmed. The building itself mixes Romanian and French architecture, and it holds up perfectly well without the Netflix connection. Peleș is the third, and the one with the real history: the summer residence of the Romanian royal family until the communist regime took it from them.

  1. Bran Castle

The day starts at Bran Castle. Walking the chambers and corridors of the medieval fortress, the guide tells the stories that attached themselves to it: Count Dracula, the folklore, and the ghost stories that have followed the place ever since.

    Costo extra

  2. Cantacuzino Castle

Next, Cantacuzino Castle, where the series Wednesday was filmed. The interior is darker than the exterior suggests, and the house has enough of its own history to be worth the visit on its own account.

    Costo extra

  3. Peles Castle

Then the drive to Sinaia and Peleș Castle, ranked by more than one publication among the most spectacular castles in the world, for the architecture and for where it stands. It was the summer residence of the Romanian royal family until the communist regime seized it.
