Stonehenge, Bath and Windsor in a Group of 16, from Marble Arch
Sixteen people, an executive mini-coach, and the three sites taken in the order that puts Windsor last rather than first. Stonehenge opens the day, out through the chalk hills of old Wessex. A guide is with you at the circle to work through how it was built and what it was for, questions that still have no settled answer. Bath is second, and the Roman Baths there are at your own expense and need booking directly with them, at a fixed time: 12:00 from 1 March to 31 October, 3:30pm from 1 November to 28 February. The rest of the city is yours to walk, hot springs, Roman remains and Georgian streets. Windsor Castle closes the day, the oldest and largest continuously occupied castle in the world. The state apartments are where kings and queens held court, the reception rooms hold chandeliers, tapestries and priceless works of art, and St George's Chapel is the burial place of many English monarchs, Elizabeth II among them. Two things worth knowing before you book. Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and on those days entry to the Roman Baths is included instead. And the castle is a working royal residence, so it can close at short notice. Departure is from outside the Cumberland Hotel at Marble Arch, 7:30am in summer and 8:30am in winter, arriving back at Victoria Train Station around 6:30pm or 7:45pm depending on the season. Note that the walk from the coach park up to Windsor Castle takes about 15 minutes and is partly uphill.

The Cumberland, Great Cumberland Pl, Marble Arch, London
Wait outside the main entrance of the Cumberland Hotel, formerly the Hard Rock Hotel. The nearest station is Marble Arch. 1st March - 31st October, departs at 7:30am. 1st November - 29th February, departs at 8:30am. Arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the above time.
Stonehenge
The road out runs into the ancient county of Wessex, across the chalk hills that surround Stonehenge. The circle is there early, before the day has filled up, and a knowledgeable guide walks it with you: what is known about how it was built, and what its purpose was, which is the question that may never be answered.
Bath
Next is the UNESCO-listed city of Bath. The hot springs are ancient and the Roman baths built on them are still there to explore, at your own expense. The streets around them are worth the walking, for the architecture as much as anything. Entry to the Roman Baths has to be pre-booked, directly with them. Windsor Castle
The day closes at Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest continuously occupied castle in the world. The state apartments are the rooms where kings and queens held court and entertained. The Royal Chapel of St George is the final resting place of many of England's most famous monarchs, Elizabeth II among them. Parts of it are uphill and may not suit passengers with mobility issues.

Summer Schedule: 1st Mar - 31st Oct • Victoria Train Station at approximately 6:30pm. Winter Schedule: 1st Nov - 28th Feb • Victoria Train Station at approximately 7:45pm. This is one of the largest transport stations in London, with excellent connections across the city and beyond.

- Windsor Castle is a working Royal residence, and as such can be subject to last-minute closures. Please be aware there will be a walk of approximately 15 minutes from the coach park to Windsor Castle. Parts of the walk are uphill and may not be suitable for passengers with mobility issues. St George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day so you will not be able to enter the chapel. Access to St George’s Chapel may be limited on busy days and during service. On Tuesday & Wednesday Windsor Castle does not open. On these days we will still visit Windsor Town but entry to the Castle will not be possible. We will include entry to the Roman Baths instead, and then when in Windsor your guide will conduct a walking tour of this beautiful, historic town which will include photo opportunities of the Castle. - British weather can be variable and so guests are advised to check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. It is recommended to bring some warm clothes with you especially in the winter months and layers are good for adapting to the ever-changing weather conditions. It is a good idea to wear appropriate footwear as there is walking involved on our tours. England is known for its rain so it is advisable to bring a waterproof jacket or umbrella with you.
