The Operator Who Says Plainly That Bran Has Nothing to Do With Dracula
Three castles in a private car with a guide: Peleș, Bran and Râșnov, with the traffic avoided and commentary on everything you pass between them. The useful thing here is the honesty. This operator states outright that Bran has nothing to do with Dracula, which most of the market prefers not to mention, and tells you what the castle actually was instead. That is a better day than the legend, and it costs nothing extra. One current note: Râșnov is partly closed for renovation.

Peleș Castle, the summer residence of the Romanian royal family, built across the 19th and 20th centuries.

Bran is nicknamed Dracula's castle, though it has nothing to do with Dracula. It was built in Gothic style to defend the border between Wallachia and Transylvania, and after the First World War Queen Marie turned it into the second royal residence.
