Windsor Castle opens the day, perched above the River Thames. Thirty-nine monarchs have lived there at some stage, from William the Conqueror to King Charles III, which makes it the largest continuously occupied castle in the world after nearly 1,000 years. The rooms hold some of the finest paintings anywhere. One thing to check before booking: the castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and St George's Chapel is closed on Sundays. Eleven monarchs are buried in the chapel, Queen Elizabeth II among them, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were married there. Entry to both is a booking option; without it there is extra time in the castle precincts. Bath comes next, a spa town the Romans civilised for its springs and the Georgians rebuilt as a resort in the 18th century. The route passes Pulteney Bridge over the Avon and the Royal Crescent, and stops at Bath Abbey, where people have worshipped for over 1,200 years. The Roman Baths Museum is the other booking option: a public bath complex and temple, built nearly 2,000 years ago on Britain's only natural hot spring. Stonehenge closes it, a ring of standing stones 5,000 years old and now a World Heritage Site. Boarding is from 7.30am at Gate 19 inside Victoria Coach Station, departure at 7.45.

Victoria Coach Station, London
At 164 Buckingham Palace Road, Victoria, London, SW1W 9TP, about a 7 minute walk from Victoria Underground and Railway station. The tour departs inside the building at Gate 19 at 7:45am, with boarding from 7.30am.
Windsor Castle
Over 900 years of royal history sit at Windsor Castle, perched high above the River Thames just outside London. Every monarch from William the Conqueror to King Charles III has had a part in it, and Windsor is now the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. Your ticket includes entry to Windsor Castle and St George's Chapel (if the entry option is selected). Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
St. George's Chapel
The Chapel has hosted many royal weddings, among them TRH The Earl and Countess of Wessex and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Eleven monarchs are buried there, including The Late Queen, Queen Elizabeth II. Your ticket includes entry to Windsor Castle and St George's Chapel (if the Castle entry option is selected). St George's Chapel is closed on Sundays. There will be extra time to explore the castle precincts.
